Fretting the Foothills Music Festival
Braselton Town Green 5pm - 10pm
Join us as a performer or spectator for some great home grown music from area musicians. August 26th is the 3rd event in a summer series of songwriter and music monthly festivals on the Town Green in Braselton, Georgia.

The featured band will be Moonshine Serenade.

Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets so you can relax on the green.
Cotton Calf Kitchen is a sponsor for this event and will be selling $15 boxed dinners from the concession building on the town green starting at 6pm. Drinks will also be available.
 
Local Station and Cotton Calf Kitchen will be open for dinner so you can dine in too. 

For musicians this is a great opportunity to get your music out there! A PA system will be provided with a sound crew to help you sound your best. All genres are welcome as long as songs contain suitable lyrics for this family oriented event. Artists will start performing at 6pm with a local band finishing out the evening performing both original and cover songs until 10pm. Are you a performer? All are invited to attend the meeting at no charge.   
A light lunch will be served prior to the program. 

Milam McGraw Propst has written ten books.  Her favorite professional triumph is the motion picture “The Adventures of Ociee Nash”, which premiered at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre. The movie is based on her award-winning novel, “A Flower Blooms on Charlotte Street”, a story about her beloved grandmother Ociee.   

Jaclyn Weldon White is the author of nine books and numerous articles which have appeared in local and regional magazines.  She also designs and crafts kiln fired silver jewelry. She was a police officer for six years before becoming the administrator for a large metropolitan Atlanta juvenile court, a position she held for sixteen years.   

In 2016 Milam Propst and Jaclyn Weldon co-wrote “SideTracked”, a Georgia travel book which will be the highlight of the presentation to the Braselton Woman’s Club meeting.

Agility demonstrations. Contests throughout the day to include Pup Strut w/costume contest, Best Dog Trick, Longest Kiss, and Bark Off. Online Look Alike contest. All dogs must be kept on leash and under control at all times!

20th Anniversary Petit Le Mans
Road Atlanta
220th Anniversary Petit Le Mans (French for little Le Mans) is a sports car endurance race held annually at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia, USA. It uses the rules established for the 24 hours of Le Mans by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO), which are slightly modified if necessary, mainly to allow additional cars to compete.

Holiday Festival, Parade, and Lighting of the Tree
Town Green, Downtown Braselton
Come Downtown and celebrate with an entire day of  fun holiday activities!
Watch the parade down Hwy. 53 at 10:30. The theme is Christmas Around the World. After the parade visit Braselton Town Green to shop the holiday market, listen to live music and tasty snacks from food trucks, grab a photo with Santa, enjoy performances, and last but not least, the Tree Lighting Ceremony from 5- 7pm.
