Annual Parade, Holiday Marketplace, and the Traditional Lighting of the Tree
10am - 7pm
Downtown Braselton

Festivities are planned throughout the day to include a holiday shopping marketplace, the Town's very popular parade, visits with Santa and the Town's annual Lighting of the Tree ceremony.

The parade will pass through Historic Downtown Braselton beginning at 10:30am and will feature local high school marching bands, floats, classic cars, tractors and animal entries. This year's theme is "Reindeer Games."

Holiday shoppers will love all the specially selected vendors surrounding the Town Green from 10am to 5pm. Children will be delighted to peek inside the North Pole tent and meet with Santa. Parents are asked to bring their own cameras for picture taking opportunities. Food vendors will be serving up delicious edibles from 10am to 7pm.

Community groups interested in performing at the gazebo during the day are asked to contact Peg Sheffield to reserve a one hour time slot on stage.

Many of our Downtown businesses will offer sidewalk sales, activities, or promotions during the day. There will be an outdoor market with 30 vendors at Countryside Antiques along with a couple of food trucks. They are located at 115 Harrison Street near the Braselton Park and behind Northeast Georgia Bank.

At 5pm, the Braselton Rotary Club will host the Lighting the Tree ceremony, a tradition that dates back to the 1920's. The event will be filled with special musical selections, introductions, history of the event, and of course a special visitor will magically light the tree. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket as seating will be limited!
