Public Works Inspections – Sidewalks and Driveways

Sidewalks, driveways, curbing, streets, water/sewer tap inspections are performed by the Public Works Inspector. Builders MUST contact the PW inspector when forms for sidewalks and driveways are laid out for an inspection.
This inspection must occur before concrete is poured.

The Environmental Specialist will conduct routine inspections on building lots and construction sites to ensure compliance with erosion and sedimentation control plans and regulations.

Planning Commission

Planning Commission meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Police & Municipal Court Facility. The following are the current members of the Planning Commission:

  • Analyzes and provides recommendations to the Town’s elected and appointed bodies in regards to re-zoning applications, annexation applications, land use plan amendment applications, variance applications, Planned Unit Development proposals, amendments to the Development Code, and the adoption of new ordinances and regulations as it pertains to planning and development.
  • Provides overall supervision and management to the Planning and Development Department.
  • Reviews site development plans and subdivision plats to ensure compliance with all applicable development regulations and ordinances.
  • Assists in the coordination and administration of the Comprehensive Plan.

  • Reviews and issues sign permits.
  • Coordinates the site development review and permitting process.
